Commission biologists periodically conduct surveys of PA waters to develop comprehensive plans for managing fishery resources. Summary reports of many surveys are provided on our web site. Use the selection options below or click on a fish icon on the
map to view reports. More help is available by moving your mouse over information icons -
Fish icons on map indicate water bodies that have been surveyed by Commission biologists. Biologist Reports generated from those surveys can be viewed one of two ways:
1 – Use the drop-downs above the map to select individual waters that have been surveyed,
waters surveyed for a given AFM Area, or waters surveyed in a given year. The waters will be indicated by light blue push-pin icons. Click on any push-pin for more information
about the water, including a listing of available reports.
2 – Click on a fish icon and a light blue push-pin icon will display. Click on the
push-pin for more information about the water, including a listing of available
reports.
Push-pins can be removed with the “Reset Map” button or by choosing
a new selection above the map.
Latitude & Longitude boxes track the coordinate position of the crosshair (center of map). To find specific coordinates on the map, enter Latitude/Longitude values in the boxes and click on the "Move to Lat/Long" button - Map will re-center to entered coordinates.
To view reports for specific waters, an AFM Area, or specifc years, use the dropdowns above
the map and the waters will be indicated by light blue push-pin icons. Click
on the push-pins for more information about the water, including a listing of available biologist reports.
Clicking on a fish icon will display a purple push-pin icon. Click on the push-pin for more information about the water, including a listing of available reports. Push-pins can be removed by clicking the “Reset Map” button or by choosing
a new selection above the map.
